DESCRIPTION: This tabletop solid state transistor AM radio was manufactured by GE General Electric in 1968 in excellent working an physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded black color plastic through and through and painted greyt green at the factory on top and sides. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Small flea bite paint dings throughout on edges and corners. Front black plastic grill is in excellent condition with no chipped vanes. Chrome paint edge trim is in very good condition. SOme missing chrome paint at top front edge. Green brushed aluminum controls panel is in excellent condition.
KNOBS: Original black plastic knobs are matching and securely attached. No missing silver metal knob caps. The volume on/off and tuning works fine.
LOGO: No missing logos. GE printing is intact excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: None.
CLOCK: None.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition and securely mounted.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. Back factory label is faded.
