DESCRIPTION: Rare color combo for this model series called Fiesta Red. Tabletop Bakelite vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Admiral in excellent working condition and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Has tone knob that works.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded Bakelite and factory painted in rare blood orang-ish and white color combo. Very blood orang-y color. Not coral. Not yellowed or faded red. Definitely more orange than red. Not repainted. But has slight very faint variation in hue on top. Like the paint was just a tad different consistency when sprayed on at the factory. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. No over spray, no touch up. None needed. Small paint dings throughout. Clear tuning window is not cracked, no micro-inclusions, no micro-swirls securely attached.
KNOBS: All three matching ivory knobs are original and securely attached slightly yellowed. No missing gold metal inserts. Little white clock knob is original securely attached.
LOGO: No missing Admiral logo. Gold painted raised lettering is not rubbed off.
DIAL LIGHT: No clock light not designed with one.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. No alarm buzzer. Wake to radio only. No sleep timer. Front clock face back panel is clean black metal no dents or dings, not warped, no water stains. Clock arms are gold metal not tarnished or rusty. Clock yellow and white printing adds even more color contrast to the whole design.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers have been rebuilt to reduce possibility of static operation in the future. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: backing board is intact no broken attach corners slightly warped.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Intact but yellowed not peeling
