Received and pleased – it’s doubtful you’ll find another – it must have been resplendent in the 1950s with the adjustable blue lighting
(switch in back). Nonetheless the cabinet is in time warp condition and can pass as new.

I love this radio because my paternal grandmother had this exact model mounted on brackets underneath her kitchen cabinets. She had the idea for the "Spacemaker" radio way before GE started marketing them!

Received the orders and am satisfied.
I believe the Philcos were less expensive than the others such as Arvins in their day. They lack the extra embellishments and
also the plastic is thinner (you probably observe this when packing, since they’re lighter.) In fact, beginning in 1960, Philco,
abandoned consumer products (as Raytheon did) and produced missiles. A military contract avoids consumer competition.
During the Vietnam War, Lyndon Johnson as asked why he was prolonging it, and he replied, “ Too many of my friends are making money
on it.”
Since you have an affinity for automobiles, I would like to offer analogy: If you walked into a Ford show room in 1961, the Ford Falcon would be
the radio equivalent of a Philco; the Thunderbird would be the equivalent of an Arvin radio .
I have been purchasing them as gifts for my Dad, and I hope he’s well for Father’s Day. The old technology provides great memories for people
partial to that time period.

Most important, I was very satisfied with the last order; despite ad, the clock is silent and
the blemishes were not as bad as indicated. Oftenstimes rubbing alcohol or car polish can
delete them without altering the factory finish. It’s redundant in this case since
they’re not very prevelant:
