DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1956 time frame in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded sage green plastic. Original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touch up. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. The molded plastic is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or major scratches. The clock and tuning cover is clear and in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches and securely attached. The clock and tuning clear cover center gold metal inserts are missing.
KNOBS: Original volume and tuning knobs are matching and securely attached with no cracks. Original matching gold metal color insert is not missing.
LOGO: No missing logos. Painted RCA raised painted logo is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: None. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio and radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Front clock face black back panel is clean no dents or dings, not warped, no water stains. Clock function matching metal levers are original, tarnished, securely attached.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance and better reception quality. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks. Clear readable printing.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Bottom factory label is intact.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
