DESCRIPTION: RCA Victor radio model from 1957 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded red burgundy magenta color plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No chips or major scratches or missing pieces. There are hairline cracks on top center from back edge that have been repaired and reinforced from underneath. Front tuning clear cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or hazing. Clock back panel is original in excellent condition with no rust, cracks, or faded numbers.
KNOBS: Original matching magenta red burgundy volume and tuning knobs are securely attached no cracks, no broken attachment posts.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: The clock motor is an original Sessions Company movement. The clock motor has a counterweight that is audible like the sound of a rotating motor. The alarm works. No buzzer. Wake to radio only no buzzer. The clock and alarm set function work. No sleep timer.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt or replaced to ensure static free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in very good condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Nicely aged to amber color.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used, lovingly displayed, or stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or thick carpet.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original factory labels are mostly intact. Some scratched off.
