DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in early 1960s in excellent+ working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent plus condition. Original factory color combination. All original factory molded colors through and through. Original factory molded light blue plastic. No cracks, chips, cracks, or major scratches. The contrasting blue color painted grill area is in excellent condition with no paint dings, no fading, no discoloration.
LOGOS: Front bottom gold metal facia plate is in excellent condition with no rust or oxidation trails securely attached not peeling. Motorola lower front left insignia is original excellent condition.
KNOBS The knobs are original, in excellent condition, matching and securely attached. Both original little clock knobs are still present, matching, and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping.
CLOCK: The clock works and keeps accurate time. The clock is quiet no humming, buzzing, or ticking noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. There is an appliance timer function in back. Top snooze button works. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. The clock dial face is in excellent condition. Usually the metal clock face has rust, pitting, or oxidation trails but not this one! No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: Matching color backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners some missing paint.
POWER CORD: The power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory labels are not missing intact and readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
