DESCRIPTION: Brothers and sisters - set alarm and wake up to dawning of the age of Aquarius! Tabletop solid state AM clock radio alarm with psychedelic Peter Max motifs manufactured by GE in 1969 in excellent working and physical condition. A must have for any hippie!
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded ivory beige plastic. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or splits, or scratches. The right front bezel is clear no cracks. The groovy clock face is wacky trippy sixties design. Look at the Monty Python finger dial pointer! And the knobs are money! Usually, these C3300A's are missing the front clock ON/OFF and Alarm set knobs which tend to break off over the years because they protrude out so far. This clock is not missing those knobs. Dynamite Brother. Cabinet has yellowed slightly with age, some cigarette burns on the top are visible.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without an external antenna.
KNOBS: Original factory matching tuning and volume dials work fine. Securely attached. Original matching clock function knobs no broken posts no stripped inner slots. Do not try to pull these knobs off! You could break the internal gears, then you won't be able to adjust the time or alarm set.
DIAL LIGHT: Original factory always on gas bulb clock light works! Glows orange. Never needs replacing.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm set function works. Alarm works. Clock set works.
LOGOS: Logo on the cabinet top is crisp and clear, though slightly worn.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. Not designed with one. Factory matching blue plastic back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. The weird safety tri-star screws are nearly impossible to remove without the proper tools!
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near kitchen for much of its life.
FACTORY LABELS: Back factory labels are clear and legible, all intact. Water-stained label.
COLOR: White and brown and yellow!
