Sherwood Green 1951 Capehart Model T30 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Really Impressive Sounding!
DESCRIPTION: This vintage radio manufactured by Capehart in 1951 in excellent working and physical condition. Rare and beautiful. Really impressive selectivity and sensitivity receiver.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded dark green plastic. Not repainted no over spray not touched up. Not needed.. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Front tuning gold metal pointer is factory original securely attached and polished. Gold painted number recesses are like new.
KNOBS: Factory original matching knobs are in excellent condition though they are missing metal center inserts. No broken attach posts.
LOGO: Front factory black painted raised Capehart logo is in good condition with minimal rub off, though darkened.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory molded back matches the radio in excellent condition. Most models of this period have a fiber cardboard backing. This molded color matching plastic back cover is a nice high quality addition.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Factory label is worn and missing material.
