Carnation Pink 1960 Sylvania Model 5C10 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Sounds Great! Rare Color!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured Admiral in 1959 time frame excellent+ physical and working condition. Rare color.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET: Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original factoiry molded carnation pink color plastic front and back. Not repainted. Not touched up. Not over sprasyed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Very rare color combo.
KNOBS: Original little clock knob is still present and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Slight rub off numbers on tuning dial.
LOGOS: No missing logos. Original Sylvania center grill logo is intact.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is quiet on this one. The alarm works and goes off at correct set time. The clock and alarm set function work. Sleep timer works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio no buzzer. The clock clear cover is in excellent condition and transparent not yellowing no cracks or chips. No stress fractures, yellowing, or major scratches. Black clock panel is in excellent condition with no rust, oxidation trails, or water stains. No rub off rub-off in clock number lettering.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Bottom factory labels are not missing. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. This radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time!
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
POWER CABLE: The brand new replacement power cable and safety polarized plug is in excellent condition.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board. Nice matching pink color.
