Kelly Green 1953 Motorola 53R(5) Tube AM Antique Radio Nice Color! Nice Performer!
DESCRIPTION: Cute and solid as a brick. Would fit perfectly on a window sill or bookshelf. Came from the factory in original kelly green which is an unusual color for the period. Manufactured by Motorola in 1953 is in excellent working and physical condition. This antique radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. No cracks, splits, or missing bakelite. This vintage radio shows the normal wear and tear of over 60 years! Not repainted no touch up or overspray. It is the original factory green paint. The knobs are original and in great condition and securely attached. The gold of the dial is rubbed off and shows patina. There is no missing ink, smudges, or rub-off of the dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. The ink of the Motorola logo is intact and lovely. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. The power cord and plug has been replaced and are new. No exposed wiring on this vintage radio. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
