DESCRIPTION: Every once in a while, a manufacturer comes up with something completely fresh and unexpected. This radio reminds me of abstract paintings from Picasso, Klee, Miro, or Kandinsky. It almost looks like it is upside down! It kinda makes me flip out every time I look at it too! The design is completely unique. Doesn't look like any other design, nor have other manufacturers tried to imitate it. It's almost as if the designers asked themselves back in the fifties, "what would a retro 50s radio look like?" Extremely rare. Coral is a highly desirable color. This vintage tube radio was manufactured by Shelbern Industries, a Canadian Company. This radio was sold exclusively by MacLeod's of Winnepeg, Manitoba. The radio is in excellent+ physical and working condition. Cabinet is original molded coral pink color. All original factory molded plastic. No repaints. No touch-ups. No overspray. No chips, or major scratches anywhere! There is a hairline heat crack along the top of the radio. This radio is almost 65 years old! The tuning dial works fine. The knobs are original and securely attached. The original volume on off knob turns on with a definite click. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. No fatigue by the interconnect. No exposed wiring.
