Silkwood Beige 1965 Channel Master Model 6260A Transistor AM Radio Cute Design Excellent Condition!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop transistor AM radio manufactured by Channel Master of Japan in 1965 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly across the dial. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded beige plastic in excellent condition. The top has no heat warping issues. There is a chip and repaired hairline crack on the bottom. No other cracks, chips, or major scratches. Not repainted. No touch up. No over spray.  Original factory plastic front painted in black with some rub off by the volume knob. The aluminum grill has a scratch.  The grill is in very good condition with no rust, no oxidation, no rub off, no warping or waviness and securely attached. Factory original handle is in excellent condition, functional, and securely attached

KNOBS: Original knobs are securely attached no cracks no chips. Factory printing is clear and read-able. All three original knob felt rings are intact.

LOGO: Original Channel Master label is not missing. 

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent condition, no exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is intact, excellent condition, and securely attached.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS:  No missing factory labels

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Has been in our reserve inventories for a long time.
