Glacier White 1956 Motorola Model MK-56R Vacuum Tube AM Radio Great Sounding Excellent Shape!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Motorola in 1956 in excellent working and physical condition in a original white color.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial.
CABINET CONDITION: This radio is a factory molded white urea plastic. Original factory molded colors through and through. It is not repainted no touch up no overspray. No chips or major scratches. There are two thin hairline heat cracks on top from back edge which is common among these Motos. A heat shield has been fabricated and installed underneath to reduce possibility of further heat cracking in the future.

KNOBS: Factory original matching plastic volume and tuning knobs are very good condition. Volume knob haa repaired cracks and small chip. Volume On Off switch works fine. The tuning dial works fine. No stuck, sticky spots no slipping. Original matching gold metal inserts are in excellent condition with no fading, rust, securely attached.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing factory labels
LOGOS: The original Motorola logo is not missing. Some rub off chrome paint.
BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board is in excellent condition.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
