DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1957 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded pink urea plastic. Not repainted. .No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Clock clear cover is original crystal clear no crack no scratches and securely mounted. Gold foil tuning and volume dial rings are original, matching , in excellent condition.
KNOBS: Volume and tuning knobs are original matching gold color translucent plastic securely attached. No missing gold metal inserts. Two clock function flap knobs are original, matching, and securely attached.
LOGO: Original Motorola logo plate is in excellent condition, readable, not missing not rusted or peeling.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock and alarm set time works. Alarm works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio only. Both work. Sleep timer works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Backing board is original with clear factory printing. Securely attached.
HEAT SHIELD: Has new internal heat shield installed underneath to minimize heat damage in the future.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
