Turquoise and White 1957 RCA Model X-4HE Vacuum Tube AM Radio Works Great Sound! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1957 in excellent working and physical condition.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded colors. Turquoise front and white back color plastic. No chips or missing pieces. There are a few small hairline cracks on the front top center. that do not continue across. Front turquoise grill is in excellent condition. Front aluminum fascia is in excellent condition no dents no dings no waviness securely attached no rub off..
WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
LOGO: No missing logos.
KNOBS: The original knobs are in excellent condition no cracks no chips. Not missing gold metal center caps. Often, this gold metal center inserts is missing.
LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Red tuning pointer is in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor has slight whirring sound if you listen closely no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock and alarm set time works. Alarm works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio only. Both work. Sleep timer works.
SOUND QUALITY: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board. White molded plastic back is in excellent condition with no chips or major scratches. No melted heat vanes.
POWER CORD: The original power cord with replacement plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABEL: No missing factory labels.
