Obsidian Black 1940s Air King Model A-450 Vacuum Tube AM Radio Rare Little King! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM vacuum tube radio alarm manufactured by Air King in the 40s in excellent physical condition. This was a budget Air King radios at the time. High end Air Kings are the most expensive and collectible radios ever sold!
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up 1-2 strong AM stations on a good day, It's surprising it works at all. This radio would benefit from having the Bluetooth installed.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded black Plaskon cabinet. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Not repainted, no touch up not over sprayed.
KNOBS: Replacement tuning tuning knob is intact and securely attached no broken attach post. Volume on/off switch is original and securely attached with repired crack.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: no backing board
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing labels.
