Seafoam Green Cutie 1959 Teletone Unknown Model AM Vacuum Tube Radio Beautiful Pee Wee Size Design!

DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Teletone in late fifties in excellent physical condition. Rare color and rare model. Pee wee size radio.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original molded seafoam green turquoise colored plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. The top back has some slight warping due to heat but not cracked or chipped. An internal heat shield has been added to prevent further dsamage due to heat.

SOUND QUALITY: Reception is fair at best. This is a 4 tube 1 stage transformer design so performance is not stellar. I was able to receive one stroing station reasonabley loud and clear with fully extended external antenna.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not deisgned with one.

KNOBS: Factory original volume and tuniung knobs are in excellent condition. The tuning dial works fine no slipping or sticky spots. Repaired mountiung post. Volume knob is a color matching replacement that has been painted.

POWER CORD: Original power cable is securely attached no breaks, splits, or exposed wiring.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. the one Intermediate Frequency Transformer (IFT) has been rebuilt to ensure static free performance. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

BACKING BOARD: Original factory is in fair condition.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. No readable factory printing if ever existed.

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets. Was probably used in or near the kitchen for much of its life.

COLOR: seafoam green turquoise blue
