Alpina White 1964 RCA Victor Model RFA-11W AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio Excellent Condition Sounds Terrific!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1964 in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded in white plastic in excellent condition. There is a repaired hairline crack on the top right corner and a small chip on the top right front corner. No other cracks, chips or hazing.
KNOBS: Original green gray color knobs are original, matching and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Silver brushed aluminum metal center caps are shiny and excellent condition.
LOGO: No missing logos. Front black clock face is clean, no rust pitting, warping or water staining.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: No clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: Replacement new power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is in excellent condition with no cracks and clear readable factory print.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing labels. Back factory label is mostly intact and readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
