Aquamarine Turquoise 1961 Emerson Model G-1701 AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio! Excellent Condition and Sounds Great!

DESCRIPTION: This tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by Emerson in 1961 in excellent working an physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded aquamarine turquoise plastic through and through. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Front original aluminum controls trim piece is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, or faded printing. Front aluminum pinhole grill screen is in excellent condition with a few tiny dings. Front clear plastic clock cover is in excellent condition with no cracks.

KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached. No missing gold metal knob inserts. Usually one or both of these are missing. The tuning dial works fine: no slipping no sticky spots. Tone knob works.

LOGO: No missing logos. Front controls panel is in excellent condition.

DIAL LIGHT: None. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer alarm works. Wake to radio and radio with buzzer. Sleep timer works. Front clock face back panel is clean no dents or dings, not warped, no water stains. Clock function matching knobs are original and securely attached. 

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: Color matching plastic back cover i s in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or melted heat vents. 

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels.
