GenX 80's Sony Model CFS-1000 AM FM Cassette Boombox Radio! Sounds Great Excellent Condition! Everything Works!

DESCRIPTION: This mini boombox AM FM radio and cassette player was manufactured by Sony in the 80s in excellent working and physical condition

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM and FM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Original FM antenna is extendable and retractable. Cassette player works and sounds great.

CASSETTE PLAYER: Play button works. Forward (>>) works. Stop works. Reverse (<<) works. Pause works, Record feature works. Eject button works door opens and closes and stays shut. Cassette door hinges are solid not cracked or mis-aligned and stays securely shut when not in use. Cassettes not included. All cassette player belts have been replaced for as new operation and reliability.

SPEAKERS: Original speakers detachable with speaker wires that connect to back jacks as designed.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded black plastic through and through. Not repainted no touch up not over sprayed. No cracks, chips, dents or dings, or major scratches. Original factory multi-color printing and graphics all clear, readable, not faded or worn off. Original handle is in excellent condition. 

HANDLE: original handle is in excellent condition with no breaks, fractures or major chips or scratches.

KNOBS: Original factory black sliders are in excellent condition, none missing, and all securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. On, off, tape selector switch is working as designed not crackly sounding. Plays at constant continuous speed. AM FM band selector works. Volume slider works not crackly sounding. equalizer sliders all working not crackly.

LOGO: No missing logos. 

DIAL LIGHT: None. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: no clock

ANTENNA: Original antenna is in excellent condition with all retractable sections working, straight not bent.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. 

POWER CORD: AC household power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. Stores neatly inside back panel side of battery compartment. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No exposed wiring.

BATTERY:  Operates on standard 6 x 1.5V D size batteries. Battery compartment cover is in excellent condition with no broken tabs.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels. 

PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.

BOX: Original factory box is missing and not included.
