Timber Brown Bakelite 1946 Wards Airline Model 64BR-1503B AM Vacuum Tube Radio Excellent Condition Sounds Marvelous!
DESCRIPTION: Beautiful AM Tabletop vacuum tube clock radio manufactured by Montgomery Wards AIrline in the 1946 time frame still in excellent+ working and physical condition. This radio has a nice Art Deco style. No cracks, chips, or major scratches! No repairs or repaints of any kind on this vintage radio. None needed. All knobs, dial pointer, etc are present, working, not missing. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need for external wire antenna. Original cabinet of this antique radio is in glossy condition. The volume and tuning knobs are original matching plastic securely attached. The tuning and volume knobs are in excellent condition. This radio is over 70 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. Tuning dial is original plastic window securely attached slightly warped with age. Dial light lights brightly. Original backing board is intact and securely attached. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
