DESCRIPTION: Tabletop transistor AM radio manufactured by Channel Master of Japan in 1961 in excellent working and physical condition. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly across the dial. Tone slide switch works with some tonal variation.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded tea green color plastic in excellent condition. The top has no heat warping issues. No cracks, chips or major scratches anywhere. Not repainted. No touch up. No over spray. None needed. Original factory front clear plastic and aluminum trim is in excellent condition with no rust, no oxidation, no rub off, no warping or waviness and securely attached. There is an earplug jack on left side which should still work. Earplugs not included.

KNOBS: Original knobs are securely attached no cracks no chips. Factory Tuning printing is clear and read-able. Has both factory original knob felt rings. Usually these go missing over the years.

LOGO: Original Channel Master label is not missing. 

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: This radio has been modified to run on standard US household power 120V 60hz. May have come with an AC Adapter originally but that has gone missing over the years. Originally used 4 D size batteries but now only runs on standard household AC electrical power. 

BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is intact, excellent condition, and securely attached.
