DESCRIPTION: Lunch box vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1955 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. WHy carry your lunch AND radio when you can carry your lunch IN your radio!

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations very clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory constructed wood cabinet with vinyl texture covering. No cracks, chips,  discoloration or major scratches or missing pieces. Vinyl covering is a light sage green gray color called "Star Frost." There is a small abrasion on the front left side of the grill panel. Molded ivory plastic grill panel is in excellent condition with no crsacks, no chips, and securely attached. Top ivory plastic handle is functional excellent condition. Handle base mounts are tarnished but securely attached. Front metal clasp is in excellent working condition but tarnished. Top contrasting ivory weave texture covering is in excellent condition. Inside storage compartment basketweave liner is in excellent condition. Inside mirror is original no cracks and securely attached. 

KNOBS: Original tuning knob is in excellent condition no slipping no sticky spots. Volume ON OFF knob is working looks like a replacement.

LOGO: The Philco logo is awesome. Never seen one like it before! Looks classic automotive.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

CLOCK: No clock.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The original turquoise power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. 

BACKING BOARD: No backing board. no designed with one. Electronics compartment stays shut securely. Snaps open on its hinge.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels inside the electronics front compartment.

COLOR: Light sage green gray with ivory handle and accent grill panel.
