DESCRIPTION: Tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Motorola in 1957 in excellent working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded green plastic front and ivory back. Not repainted. Has repaired and over sprayed cracks on bottom front right corner. There are repaired but not over sprayed cracks on top front left corner. Tuning and clock clear covers are original crystal clear no crack no scratches and securely mounted. Front aluminum fascia is original no dents or dings not warped and securely mounted.
KNOBS: All three clock knobs are original matching gold translucent plastic and securely attached. Volume and tuning knobs are matching original slightly yellowed with age and securely mounted. No missing gold metal inserts. The tuning gold translucent rim is not cracked with clear station numbers.
LOGO: Original Motorola logo plate is faded but not missing.
DIAL LIGHT: Tuning dial light works. Clock dial lights works. Both replaced with modern longer lasting LED bulbs. Will not need replacing for years to come.
CLOCK: Clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock and alarm set time works. Alarm works. Wake to radio and buzzer or wake to radio only. Both work. Sleep timer works. Has premium level calendar and date function that works
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original heavy duty power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: No backing board not designed with one. Has ivory color molded backing with no cracks, chips or major scratches.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Intact but yellowed not peeling
