Hippie Purple 60s Philco Ford Motor Model R-350 Alarm Clock Radio Rare! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Rare and beautiful vintage clock radio model. The contrasting purple, pink, and blue is unique color theme! Looks very hippie! Tabletop solid state transistor AM alarm clock radio manufactured by Philco Ford Motor Company in the 60s time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or splits, or major scratches. The front bezel is clear with no cracks or yellowing. Usually this large expansive clear clock window has hairline cracks.
KNOBS: All clock knobs are in excellent condition and all functioning perfectly! Funky design. Volume knob works. Tuning knob works but station adjustment seems erratic. Sometimes stations come in loudly and clearly, sometimes not. The station numbers do not line up correctly with the pointer.
CLOCK: The clock face is in fair condition. Has water stains. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. No cracks, warping, major scratches on the clear clock cover which is very positive. The clock works and keep accurate time no humming no buzzing no ticking or grinding noises. The alarm does not work. No buzzer. The clock and alarm set function works but alarm doesn't seem to turn the radio on at set time. No sleep timer.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
POWER CABLE: The original power cord and plug are excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
