Avocado Green 1961 Motorola Model A17G AM Vintage Radio Sounds Terrific! Excellent Shape!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by Motorola in 1961 in excellent physical and working condition. Avocado was the new seafoam green of the early sixties
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory shiny molded in avocado green color plastic. Original factory molded color through and through. Not repainted, no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. No major scratches or missing pieces. Front tuning aluminum fascia is in very good condition with minor rust and oxidation.
KNOBS: Original knobs are color matching and securely attached. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Gold metal center caps are shiny not oxidized.
LOGO: No missing logos. Printed logo and numbers in excellent condition with no fading or rub off.
DIAL LIGHT: No clock or dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: None.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original white power cord and plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Color matching backing board.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels.
