Eldorado Avocado 1955 Arvin Model 5571 Vacuum Tube AM Clock Radio Rare Color!
DESCRIPTION: Hard to find model, extremely rare in this color. Unconventional lines on this design make sit look like a 50's houseboat or trailer. Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Arvin in 1955 excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. No cracks, chips, or deep scratches. Original factory molded color. No repainted no touch no over spray. Still retains some of its original factory as-new glossiness. This radio is over 60 years old! The original knobs are in excellent condition. No missing knobs. The clear dial face has no stress cracks which is common on this model. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. Arvin applique logo is intact no broken off letters.The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. Pretty little ON/OFF/AUTO knob is original and nicely yellowed with age. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. Backing board printing is clear and legible no smudges no water stains slight yellowing. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
