Moss Green Mid-Century 1966 Silvertone Model 6003 AM Solid State Transistor Radio Works Great Looks Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop solid state transistor radio manufactured by Silvertone in 1966 time frame in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded moss green color plastic. Some previous owner tried to clean the top with some chemical which shows few drip marks on the sides. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no over spray no touch up. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches or missing pieces. The front tuning panel is original patterned design in excellent condition no rust, discoloration, and securely mounted. Chrome perimeter edge trim is in very good condition with some rub off. Front enclosed speaker grill is in e3xcellent condition.
KNOBS: Original white volume and tuning knobs are in excellent condition and securely attached. No broken attachment posts.
LOGO: Front Silvertone logo plaque is in excellent condition
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning or clock dial lights. Not designed with this one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: no clock
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Factory original backing board with crisp square corners and clear, readable print
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing labels.
PROVENANCE: Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
