DESCRIPTION: The much sought after Owl Eyes among Zenith designs! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Zenith in 1955 in excellent working and physical condition. This is a beautiful brown Bakelite radio with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches! Original molded color not repainted no touch up and no over spray. Knobs are original and securely attached real clean. This radio is almost 60 years old! The front gold metal fascia tuning and clock surround trim is in excellent condition with no peeling, dents or dings, no major scratches or waviness. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. The factory original supple power cable and plug is in excellent working condition no breaks no exposed wires no brittleness. Clock works and keep accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm works. No sleep timer. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. The tubes are working fine. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. The original backing board is still present which is incredible because it's only held on by 4 t-pins. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
