DESCRIPTION: This model radio has had several television and movie appearances. This is the radio in "Leave It To Beaver" television series. It also appeared in "The Professional" with Jean Reno and Natalie Portman. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in the mid to late 50s in excellent working condition. All original factory molded colors not repainted no touch up no over spray. There is a chip along the bottom and front left edge. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.  This radio is over 50 years old!  The large round tuning dial is this model's stylistic signature! Look at the nice Sputnik period center emblem on the rotating tuning dial! Nice crisp lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No rub off numbers. Dial light has been replaced with modern brighter LED so it will probably never need to be replaced. All knobs are original and securely attached. The gold metal caps in the knobs are in excellent condition. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The factory original red color power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Bottom factory label is missing. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
