Kelly Green 1959 CBS Model T200 AM Vacuum Tube Radio So Cute! Sounds Wonderful! Rare As Heck!
DESCRIPTION: This radio needs a spatula to scrape my tongue of the floor! I have never seen this model series manufactured by Travler and sold by CBS in this color green. These models are usually molded in black or white. Sometimes the grills are factory painted blue, pink or yellow. Tabletop tube AM radio sold by CBS in 1959 in excellent+ physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is original shiny GREEN plastic. Absolutely stunning color! Original factory molded color through and through. No repaints. No touch ups. No over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Iconic tri-star tuning knob is original and securely attached in excellent condition. No greening or rub off of the tri start factory applied gold paint. This radio is over 60 years old! No dial light. Not designed with one. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The CBS grill logo is in excellent condition. The kitschy-est of kitsch! The tuning dial works fine. The power cable is securely attached. Only the filter capacitor was replaced because it looked like it was already replaced at one point. All the other paper and wax capacitors were not replaced to maintain originality. The radio works great. Should continue to work great even if these capacitors are not replaced. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Factory original back board is in excellent condition with crisp square edges and securely attached. Factory original bottom labels are intact and excellent condition. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets.
