DESCRIPTION: Tabletop Tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by Admiral in 1964 timeframe in immaculate condition. Extremely quiet clock mechanism. Can't even tell it's on. Perfect for the light sleeper or OCD noise afflicted. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, splits, or missing bakelite. No cracks, splits, repairs, or missing material whatsoever. There is an original sticker on the left side which shows a very regal looking eagle emblazoned with the words, dare I say, patriotically: "Made in America by American craftsmen with quality American components." To-die-for! I don't know whether to buy this clock radio or salute it. This radio is over 50 years old. All original everything. No repaints. No cabinet repairs needed. The knobs are in excellent condition. No missing clock or alarm set knobs. The clear dial face has no cracks and is clear. The clock face is clean with slight pitting. Please see the photo close-up. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on clock dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time for a mechanical analog design. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners. No moisture rot. No cardboard fatigue damage. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. A little stiff but no breaks. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment no pets. This thing belongs in a museum!\
