Goldenrod Yellow 1959 RCA Victor C-4EM Tube AM Clock Radio Sounds Awesome and Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by RCA Victor in 1958 excellent+ working and physical condition. This radio is over 60 years old! True yellow not yellowed ivory color radios from this era are among the rarest of original factory colors from any manufacturer next to true purples (not burgundies).
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Gold back cover is in excellent condition. All factory molded original colors no repaints no touch ups no over spray. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches any where on the cabinet. The front ivory grill piece is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. Clock and tuning window clear cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or major scratches. No warping no yellowing and securely attached with no broken internal attachment tabs.
KNOBS: Original knobs are matching and securely attached. Number on knobs are clear, read-able, no rub off. gold caps are in perfect condition! Usually one or all of these gold metal caps is missing.
LOGO: Excellent condition. Little front Little Nipper medallion is intact not missing in excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: Clock dial light works and lights brightly. Illuminates from behind Little Nipper logo medallion.
SPEAKER: 4" speaker.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Clock function setting side lever works. Wake to buzzer and radio or just radio. Both alarm type functions work. Sleep timer side lever works. Snooze button works. Black clock face is in excellent condition. No runs or streaks. No rust no oxidation trails. All numbers are clear and readable. Clock face is not warped. Clock arms are original clean white painted not yellowed not rusted.
POWER CORD: The original white color matching power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom labels. Label is in fair condition with wear consistent with age
