Classic Brown Bakelite Mid Century 1953 Westinghouse Model H382T5 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Like A Champ!
DESCRIPTION: This baby boomer is classically proportioned and smooth sounding like Bing Crosby. Tabletop tube radio manufactured by Westinghouse in 1953 time frame. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in very good condition. No chips or major scratches. There is a hairline crack on the top right edge. Original factory molded dark brown almost black color. The knobs are original brown plastic. The front grill is in pristine condition. The tuning dial is in excellent condition and rotates when you tune in stations! This radio is almost 70 years old! All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. The original knobs are securely attached and won't fall off. The factory original backing board is intact with crisp square corners. No dial light not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The power cord and safety polarized plug is a brand new replacement with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
