DESCRIPTION: This is one of Philco rarer designs. Looks good from every angle. Especially in this dark evergreen forest color combined with its unique iridescent grill cloth. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 time frame in excellent physical and working condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. No chips or major scratches. Few dings here and there throughout. There is a crack on the right side that has been repaired. This radio is original factory molded green color plastic. Looks black in photos but it is green. It is not repainted not over sprayed not touched up. The front ivory gray grill is securely attached. This radio is over 55 years old!  The knobs are in excellent condition with no cracks no broken posts. The metal knob inserts are not rusted not tarnished or wavy, securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The original power cord and plug is excellent original working condition. No exposed wiring or fatigue by the interconnect that is common. Backing board is original with crisp square edges although looks weathered. Original factory label on the bottom is mostly intact with some bubbling of the paper, slight yellowing, all still legible.
