Daffodil Yellow Vintage 1959 General Electric Model C-435A Tube Radio Brighten Up Your Day!
DESCRIPTION: This is a rare color for this model. True molded yellow plastic not yellowed ivory or yellow beige or butterscotch. Yellow are one of the rarest colors for radios from this period. Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by GE in 1959 in excellent working and physical condition. This vintage radio picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, major scratches, or missing plastic. Couple micro dings along the edges but no missing material. No repaints, over sprays or touch-ups. None needed. The knobs of this vintage tube radio are original and in excellent condition. The front grill is in excellent condition without cracks or scratches. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Knobs are in excellent condition with no cracked mounting posts, chips or major scratches. Gold center metal inserts are not missing and mirror shiny. Original little white clock knob is securely attached. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent. Clock and alarm time set knob works. No buzzer alarm just wake to radio as designed. The clock bezel and face are clean and clear with just a few light scratches. Beautiful original copper metal clock face no rust. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. No missing bottom factory label. Real nice original yellow power cord. Yes, yellow power cord. Not yellowed aged ivory power cord with intact base interconnect ne breaks or fatigue. How many of these do you think are still around? No exposed wiring. Original backing board is intact no cracks securely attached. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
