Claret Red 1952 RCA Victor Model 1-X-56 AM Tube Radio Great Sounding!
DESCRIPTION: This tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by RCA Victor in 1952 is in excellent physical condition and working. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Cabinet is in excellent condition. Cabinet is original factory molded medium red color like a cranberry or claret red color. No repaints no over spray no touch ups. None needed. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. The gold metal inserts are not missing, original and very good condition. This antique radio has very little pitting and rust. RCA-Victor logo label is missing. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. Dial light lights up brightly. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Backing board is in good condition with crisp square corners. Bottom original factory tube layout diagram is in good original condition. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
