Red and White 1954-1955 Admiral Model 5T35 Vacuum Tube Radio Big Speaker Sound!

DESCRIPTION: Rare and very collectable model in a rare color combo from Admiral. This particular design has an unusual front concave profile with bi-level contours that shows design risk-taking and experimental use of contrasting colors. The aging of the original red faded to coral pink is uneven and mottled in areas which increases its character.  Like a pair of well worn jeans sometimes looks better than a brand new pair. Would look great in a vintage Shasta trailer or 50s diner! Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Arvin in 1954-1955 time frame in excellent+ working and very good physical condition. Cabinet is original factory painted red and white Bakelite. No cracks, chips or major scratches. No repaint, no over spray no touch ups. None needed. The front gold mesh grill has repaired hairline crack. Matching original knobs are intact, securely attached. Large tuning knob is in excellent condition with no cracks no broken mounting post. Volume works with smooth even attenuation across entire range. This radio is one of the better ones for listening purposes. Larger 6" speaker. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine. No slipping or sticky spots. No dial light not designed with one. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The original backing board is in excellent condition with crisp square corners and securely mounted. No missing factory labels. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
