Vermillion Orange and White 1960 Westinghouse Model H-749T5 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Westinghouse in 1960 in excellent working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is in excellent condition. Original molded glossy orang-ish color plastic. All original factory molded colors. Not repainted, no over spray no touch up. None needed. No cracks, chips or major scratches. Front white grill is in excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. The original factory gold painted raised contours on the right side controls panel is in excellent condition with very little rub-off or greening. Usually, the factory gold paint suffers from rub-off by knobs and/or greening.
KNOBS: All knobs are original and securely attached real clean. Volume and tuning knobs are not missing center gold metal inserts. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no sticky spots. Tuning knob post is not cracked and is securely attached. Unusual 'Music' 'Voice' switch works.
CLOCK: No clock.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The antique radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CABLE: Original power cable and plug is in excellent working condition no breaks no exposed wires no brittleness.
BACKING BOARD: Gorgeous vermillion orange back that matches the top cover.
