DESCRIPTION: Beautiful AM tabletop vacuum tube clock radio manufactured by Emerson in the 1942 time frame still in excellent working condition.

CABINET CONDITION: The original wood cabinet is structurally solid with no splits and no peeling veneer. Original factory finish. Not refinished not over sprayed or touched up. Has fluted front side pillar posts. Tuning dial clear plastic window is factory original not cracked not chipped no warping yellowed with age. All the dial numbering and lettering is crisp and clear. No missing numbering, dots or dashes, or anything. No smudges or yellowing. 

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without an external wire antenna. Tone knob works.

KNOBS: All factory original matching knobs left to right, volume, tone, power, and tuning. All knobs are in excellent condition no broken mount posts. The unit powers on and off with a definite click. 

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works and lights up brightly.

LOGOS: Front Emerson decal is in excellent condition.

CLOCK: No clock

ELECTRONICS: All out of spec capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits or electrical tape repair. No exposed wiring on the back of the radio. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected inside and out. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.

BACKING BOARD: Original antenna backing board is intact securely attached. The second outside backing board is missing. These cardboard backing boards are missing 9 times out of 10! 

POWER CORD: The brand new power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

LABELS: No missing factory labels.
