Lace Pink 1954 Admiral Model YG774 Vintage Atomic Age Vacuum Tube AM Radio Clock Sounds Great! Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock alarm radio manufactured by Admiral in 1959 in very good condition. Look at the flowery lattice grill!
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: The cabinet is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or major scratches. Original factory molded powder pink plastic through and through. No repaint. No over spray. No touch up. The top snooze button surround shows its age and is slightly tarnished. The front clock bezel is clear transparent with no cracks or hazing. The aluminum clock face is in excellent condition with no rust, no stains, no oxidation trails. All the lettering is still clear and legible.
KNOBS: Knobs are original, matching, and securely attached with some rub off. The tuning dial works fine.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock is quiet no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The snooze button works.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CABLE: The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
FACTORY LABELS: Mostly intact, missing corner but mostly readable.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is in excellent condition with no rips, no cracks.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, cooking grease, pets or carpet.
COLOR: Powder Pink. Light fleshy pink, not hot pink
