DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio manufactured by Arvin in 1958 in excellent physical and excellent working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations around the dial without need of external antenna attachment. 

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is factory original molded charcoal gray color plastic. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. Hairline heat crack on top that has been repaired and reinforced from underneath.  Gold-flecked hounds tooth grill fabric, like your great grandmother's Sunday skirt suit! Grill fabric missing on the left side of clock. Front clock clear cover is not cracked and securely attached. Usually this model has cracked clock cover.

KNOBS: Factory original matching knobs securely attached in excellent condition. Not missing center gold metal inserts.

LOGO:  No missing logos. No cracks or chips on front bottom Arvin logo. Sometime Arvin letters are missing or chipped on the model.

DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine.All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

POWER CORD: The original durable power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. 

BACKING BOARD: Original factory back board is in excellent condition with no cracks crisp square corners. Factory printing is in excellent condition and readable.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing factory labels.

CLOCK:  Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer works. Sleep timer works. Clock face gold metal panel is in excellent condition with no greening, no water stains, no oxidation trails. Numbers are clear not faded no rubbed off.
