DESCRIPTION: Tabletop AM vacuum tube radio manufactured by Philco in 1948 in excellent physical and working condition.

CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded marbled swirly brown Bakelite cabinet is in excellent condition. Not refinished no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips, or major scratches. Clear plastic original tuning window is not cracked, no chips, not warped, and not yellowed with age.

WORKING CONDITION: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

LOGO: No missing logos.

KNOBS: The factory original Bakelite matching knobs are in excellent condition, no cracks, no chips. 

LETTERING: No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on tuning dial lettering. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping no sticky or stuck spots. Tuning back panel is in excellent condition with no rust, pitting, flaking, or water stains. Original red tuning pointer is in excellent condition.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works. Lights up brightly.

CLOCK: No clock

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All out of tolerance paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. 

BACKING BOARD: No backing board.

POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.

FACTORY LABEL: Factory label is clear and readable yellowed with age.

PROVENANCE: Was gently used then stored for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet. Don't remember when or where acquired. Was in our raw inventories for a while.
