DESCRIPTION: Very popular model tabletop vacuum tube AM clock radio manufactured by GE General Electric throughout late 50s to mid 60s in excellent plus working and physical condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded ivory plastic. Not repainted. No over spray. Not touched up. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. Clear tuning cover is original with no cracks chips, or major scratches and securely attached.
KNOBS: Original volume and tuning knobs are securely attached no cracks, no broken attachment posts, no missing center metal inserts. The metal inserts are in excellent plus condition. Little clock function barrel knob is original and securely attached.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No tuning dial light. Not designed with one. But can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. No alarm buzzer wake to radio only. No sleep timer. Clock face is in excellent condition with clear numbers no rust no oxidation or greening. Back clock and alarm time set screw is not missing.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board with clear factory printing.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original bottom factory label is intact in excellent condition.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to moisture, smoking, cooking grease, pets or carpet. Don't remember when or where acquired. Was in our raw inventories for a while.
