Citron Yellow 1959 Philco Model F813-124 Vacuum Tube Radio Sounds Great Excellent Condition!
DESCRIPTION: Vintage tabletop vacuum tube AM radio manufactured by Philco in 1959 in excellent working and physical condition. Original molded yellow colors are one of the rarest of the period.
CABINET CONDITION: Original factory molded yellow plastic cabinet is in excellent condition with no chips, no major scratches. There is a hairline crack along the top ridge that has been repaired and reinforced from underneath. The front aluminum decorative trim piece is original excellent condition with some paint falking behind the tuning knob. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted. No over spray no touch up. .
SOUND QUALITY: This radio picks up AM stations real clearly and very loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one.
KNOBS: The volume and tuning knobs are original matching ivory color plastic with silver metal inserts. Tuning knob works with no slipping, sticky, or stuck spots. The tuning knob is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or broken atrtachment post and securely attached.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: The capacitors been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications.
POWER CORD: Original power cord is in excellent working condition with no breaks, splits, or exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board is intact in excellent condition.
FACTORY LABELS: Bottom factory labels is intact and readable.
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
