DESCRIPTION: Beautiful burgundy marbled mid century classic clock radio! Original factory molded color not repainted! Vintage tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by General Electric in 1954 in excellent+ working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. No cracks, chips or major scratches. This radio is over 60 years old and looks and sounds great! Still retains factory glossiness with minimal swirls and micro scratches. There is an edge ding on the top front by the tuning dial and one on the front by 11 o'clock. No cabinet repairs or repaints performed. None needed. No missing pieces. Knobs are original and securely attached. One of the little clock knobs is a brand new replacement. All the dial numbers are crisp and clear. The dial clear glass cover is not clear no hairline cracks or micro scratches. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering. Love the brass metal clock surround! The tuning dial works fine. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added . Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Clock and alarm time set function works. Sleep function works. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. The resistors were all within factory specification so they're all original too. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. Backing board is in excellent condition. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Missing back panel label. The original power cord and plug is in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
