Cranberry Burgundy 1954 Westinghouse Model H-39813 AM Vacuum Tube Radio Excellent Condition! Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM radio manufactured by Westinghouse in 1954 in excellent working and physical condition. Upright design is reminiscent of Westinghouse refrigerator H-125 style radio.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial. This vintage radio plays great with or without an external antenna attachment. This radio is almost 70 years old!
CABINET CONDITION: Original cabinet molded cranberry burgundy color plastic. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted, no touch up no over spray. Excellent condition with no cracks, no chips, no major scratches. Front clock clear cover is in excellent condition with no crack, chips, or major scratches.
KNOBS: All original factory matching knobs are in excellent condition. Volume on/off switch works. The tuning dial and pointer works not slipping no sticky spots. Three little clock function knobs are matching excellent condition.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
CLOCK: Clock works and keeps accurate time. Clock motor is silent no humming no buzzing no ticking noises. Alarm and clock set function works and goes off at the correct set times. Buzzer works. Sleep timer works. No snooze button. Clock function lettering is in excellent condition with no rub off.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. Both Intermediate Frequency Transformers (IFTs) have been rebuilt to ensure static-free performance. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. Thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
BACKING BOARD: Original factory backing board is about half missing on top.. All remaining original factory printing info and labels are intact and readable.
POWER CORD: The brand new replacement power cord and safety polarized plug is in excellent original working condition with no cracks, or splits.
FACTORY LABELS: No missing factory labels
PROVENANCE: Previous owner identity is not known. Was gently used then stored in a dry cool environment for a long period of time. No evidence of prolonged exposure to cigarette smoking, moisture, or pets.
