Bubble Gum Pink 1957 Truetone Model 2852 AM Vacuum Tube Alarm Clock Radio Rare Color! Sounds Great!
DESCRIPTION: Tabletop tube AM clock radio manufactured by Truetone in 1957 in excellent physical and working condition.
SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.
CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is factory original molded bubble gum pink color plastic. This is probably the closest to hot pink color possible back in the late 50's before modern dyes, pigments, and colorants were invented. All original factory molded colors through and through. Not repainted no touch up no over spray. No cracks, chips or major scratches. The black clock back panel is in excellent condition with no flaking, no rust, oxidation trails, pinholes, or water stains or faded numbers. There is a heat shield mounted underneath the top to prevent cracking in the future.
KNOBS: Factory original tuning knobs is in excellent original condition, securely attached with faded numbers. The original color matching volume knob is re-glued back together. The clock function clear knob is a replacement in excellent condition.
LOGO: No missing logos.
DIAL LIGHT: No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge.
INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! There is a working appliance timer function in back. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection.
POWER CORD: The original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring.
BACKING BOARD: Original backing board has a repaired crack, securely mounted, with readable factory printing.
FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: Original bottom labels are intact and readable.
CLOCK: Clock works, keeps accurate time. Has clock motor whirring sound. Alarm works. Wake to radio on only no buzzer. No sleep timer. No missing ink, smudges, or rub-off on dial lettering.
