DESCRIPTION: Popular mid-century model from General Electric when modern plastics first began to replace Bakelite as material of choice. Tabletop vacuum tube AM radio was manufactured by General Electric in 1949 in excellent physical and working condition.

SOUND QUALITY: Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly around the dial without need of external antenna attachment.

CABINET CONDITION: Cabinet is original factory molded ivory color plastic. No cracks, chips or major scratches or missing pieces. No heat cracks or heat warping on top. Front tuning clear plastic cover in in excellent condition. All original factory colors. Not repainted, no touch up, not over sprayed. Tuning gold metal back panel is not greening with age which is often the case, and not rusted not dented or dinged.

KNOBS: Original burgundy plastic knobs are matching and securely attached not cracked or chipped. The tuning dial works fine no slipping no stuck or sticky spots. 

LOGO: No missing logos.

DIAL LIGHT: Dial light works. 

INTERNAL ELECTRONICS: All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected.

CLOCK: No clock

POWER CORD: Original power cord and plug are in excellent working condition. No breaks, no splits, no repair with electrical tape, or other. No brittle or stiff. No exposed wiring.

BACKING BOARD: No backing board with this model. Back cover is in excellent condition with no cracks, co chips, no major scratches.

FACTORY LABELS AND STICKERS: No missing bottom factory labels.
