DESCRIPTION: Popular and attractive C-series General Electric clock radio model from the late fifties. Pedestal type design with intricate checker grill. Nicely proportioned and the color really sets it off. Would go well with bouffant and poodle skirt! Tabletop tube AM clock radio alarm manufactured by General Electric in 1959 time frame in excellent working and physical condition. Picks up AM stations clearly and loudly up and down the dial without need of external antenna attachment. Original factory molded pink plastic. Not repainted. No touch ups or over sprays. None needed. No cracks or major scratches, repairs, or repaints. None needed. There is a chip on the bottom back edge. This radio is over 60 years old! The knobs are in excellent condition. No dial light. Not designed with one but can be added for an extra charge. The clock bezel is clear and transparent not yellowing. The clock function printing is mostly there with slight rub off. The tuning dial works fine and smooth no slipping. All paper and wax capacitors have been replaced with modern equivalents so this radio has another 50+ years or more of playing time! The clock works and keep accurate time. The clock motor is silent. No grinding, buzzing, or humming. No ticking noises. Slight whirring sound. The alarm works. The buzzer works. The clock and alarm set function work. The tubes are working fine. All out-of-spec resistors have been replaced with modern correct value and voltage equivalents. There is no loud or pervasive hum. There is no loud or pervasive static between stations unless you operate near modern megahertz devices. The set has been aligned according to factory specifications. The power cord and plug are good original working condition with no cracks, or splits. No exposed wiring. Backing board is original and intact not falling off. Original factory sticker is intact but yellowed with age. Printing is in readable condition. The radio has been thoroughly cleaned and inspected. All wiring has been thoroughly checked for possible bridging and weak solder connection. Comes from non-smoking, mature, clean professional environment.
